The Proposal Writer will be responsible for responding to RFP/RFI’s relating to Learning Care Group’s Employer Solutions Child Care Benefits. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the proposal is created effectively and within its deadline. They will drive the proposal process by working with various departments throughout our company gathering information and will then write, edit, and proofread the proposal to ensure it’s brand compliant and fits the voice of our organization.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Determine proposal requirements by identifying and clarifying objectives within the RFPs and partner with the Business Development Manager to create response strategy.
  • Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information and coordinating with key providers and other internal contributors for additional information as needed.
  • Write copy for all RFP/RFI questions and create proposals that tell a compelling story of why an employer would want LCG as a partner. 
  • Effectively convey information about LCG’s products and services, in many cases to those who might be unfamiliar with these details.
  • Customize proposal content to specific needs/requirements of each client.
  • Proofread and edit copy for accuracy, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Must handle multiple revisions, edit and re-edit proposal sections as needed, and ensure that proposals maintain a consistent tone or voice.
  • Ensure LCG’s image, brand, and ethical standards are strictly adhered to and all activities are in line with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Schedule and run proposal kick-off meetings, facilitate key review meetings/final document review, coordinate proposal governance/sign-off, document production, and delivery of the completed proposal.
  • Effectively manage multiple RFP’s at one time.
  • Establish priorities and target dates to ensure that the proposals are submitted on time.
  • Maintain records of all proposals submitted and received.
  • Gather and store feedback on proposals to help improve proposal content and process.
  • Other marketing-related writing as needed (ie: blogs, whitepapers).

 

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience responding to RFP’s with a proven track record of winning projects (sample writing will be required)
  • Experience within the childcare industry and/or employer benefits is a plus.

  • Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience working with RFP software (Loopio) is preferred
