Job Summary:
Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs in a Learning Management System for field employees, field management and support central employees that support all aspects of their job functions. In addition, the Sr. Instructional Developer will manage assigned training projects and all associated resources and meet the established objectives for quality and content.

Essential Functions:
1. Develop on-line training programs utilizing SCORM compliant authoring tool Captivate 2019.
2. Coach and mentor new Instructional Developers and conduct peer mentoring on instructional development for all Instructional Developers.
3. Collaborate with Training colleagues to evaluate and develop training solutions for effective on-going implementations in the Learning Management System (LMS) and other delivery methods.
4. Test and debug e-learning modules for quality assurance of courses.
5. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) on cross-functional program roll outs.
6. Utilize technical writing skills to develop facilitated workshops targeted for the adult learner.
7. Develop blended learning programs utilizing a variety of instructional methods and covering a variety of subject areas--e.g., early childhood education, teacher credentialing, leadership, safety, and state specific licensing standards.
8. Manage revisions and updates to established training programs.
9. Analyze data from training assessments for the purpose of developing or improving existing training programs.
10. Research and recommend current software products that will enhance training development.
11. Assist with other duties as directed by supervisor.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s Degree in Instructional Design/Development or related field preferred but not required


Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Instructional Development
  • Early Childhood Education experience preferred but not required

  • Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Knowledge in all phases of Instructional Design including needs assessment, design development, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Ability to develop on-line learning programs using web-based delivery systems.
  • Technical ability to troubleshoot solutions in LMS catalog.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Platform skills essential for engaging adult learners in a workshop or virtual setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Work, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to edit/proofread.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects in a team setting.

Travel Percentage:
25% travel expected
