Manager, GRC Lead - Grants Compliance & Audit Readiness is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of grant compliance, audit readiness, financial reporting, and regulatory adherence for the organization’s portfolio of grants and federal food funded programs. This role serves as a strategic partner to Accounting, Grants, Operations, Government Relations and Finance leadership, ensuring that all grant activities meet federal, state, and private grantor requirements while maintaining strong internal controls and audit‑ready documentation. The GRC Lead strengthens governance and risk management practices, manages audit coordination, and supports the development of efficient reporting systems as the organization continues to scale.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks tailored to grant‑funded initiatives and federal food programs.
- Review grant contracts, policies, and requirements and collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Funding & Grants Compliance, Government Relations, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to internal controls and external audit standards. Maintain tracking of deadlines and reporting obligations. Oversee compliance with federal, state, and private grant regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and private grant regulations, including documentation, reporting, and allowable cost requirements.
- Document grant requirements and coordinate with internal teams and field staff to ensure programmatic and financial compliance throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Monitor, assess, and mitigate compliance and financial risks, implementing proactive strategies to strengthen internal controls.
- Lead internal and external audits and compliance reviews for grant programs and federal food audits, ensuring timely preparation and accurate documentation.
- Partner with the Grants team to ensure accurate and complete support for submissions and reporting, including reconciliations, required forms, and supporting documentation (general ledger data, receipts, invoices, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies, including GAAP standards and ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Grants teams on monthly close activities related to grant revenue and expenses, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate timely review of external audit schedules as required for both the Company and the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards audit (SEFA).
- Train and support cross‑functional staff to strengthen internal controls, improve documentation practices, and enhance audit outcomes. Communicate requirements clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Monitor Grants projects in Oracle to ensure grant funds are spent as required, and to reduce overspending and underspending.

Maintain current knowledge of grant compliance and GRC best practices through professional development, networking, and participation in relevant organizations.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business/finance (or equivalent education and experience) with emphasis in accounting, is required. Degree(s) must be from a credible college or university.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of corporate accounting experience.
- Grant accounting experience required.
- Oracle Cloud Finance and FRS reporting preferred.
- Management and project management experience preferred.

- Strong technical skills: Excel, Smartsheet, Oracle/SmartView, etc.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid.
- Base salary range: $110,000 - 130,000
- This position is eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance.

This position is eligible for paid time off. All Corporate employees are enrolled in our Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) plan. This plan allows for flexibility and discretion between employees and managers in taking time off - with no set accrual for vacation or sick time.
